I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! Mine was filled with lots of leftovers, movie nights with friends, a princess themed birthday party, all while trying to fight off a stubborn cold. It was a crazy work filled weekend, so I decided to skip the Black Friday madness and do all my shopping online. The rest of the week will be dedicated to (more)work, meeting application deadlines, and baking cookies for a Christmas concert. As for now, I'm still enjoying my peppermint mocha in bed :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving, sharing it with family, loved ones, and lots of delicious, comfort food! I will be spending the afternoon baking apple pie (recipe coming soon) and then heading to my uncle's for all the festivities!

Recipe Time: Oatmeal With Fruit & Nuts

Oatmeal:
1/2 Cup Dried Oats
1 Cup Lowfat Milk
2 Tbs Honey
2 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
Pinch of Salt

Toppings:
1 Cup Chopped Strawberries
2 Tbs Chopped Walnuts

In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of milk to a boil. Then add in the dried oats and stir occasionally until the oats are cooked (about 5 minutes). Turn off the heat and add in the honey, cinnamon, and salt. Mix together and transfer to a bowl. Add the strawberries and walnuts on top and enjoy!

Fall Fashion Finds

I pretty much started my fall/winter shopping in early August when the new merchandise came out. I'm not a big fan of warm weather and as soon as the stores starting bringing out the new trends, I started stocking up. So far, leather pants are at the top of my list. Also, silk blouses, wedges and structured purses are super cute this season.
